ST. PAUL, Minn. — Michael Bitzer made 28 saves for his third shutout of the season, and Bemidji State beat No. 7 Minnesota-Duluth 4-0 on Friday in the semifinals of the North Star College Cup.
Matt Prapavessis scored a goal and added an assist for the Beavers (8-12-3), who will play No. 1 Minnesota State in Saturday’s championship game.
Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped 22 shots for the Bulldogs (13-9-1), who were 0-for-5 on the power play, including a five-minute advantage in the first period.
Minnesota-Duluth will play Minnesota for third place.
After Prapavessis put Bemidji State ahead in the first period, he assisted on Leo Fitzgerald’s goal in the second.
Sam Windle and Kyle Bauman scored in the third for the Beavers.
