At Thompson Arena in Hanover, N.H., Corey Kalk scored the game-winning goal 2:13 into the third period and Devin Buffalo made 10 of his 26 saves in the final frame as the fifth-seeded host Big Green bounced back from a Saturday loss to St. Lawrence to advance to take on No. 2 Harvard in next weekend’s ECAC quarterfinals. Dartmouth is now 15-15-2 on the season.
After a scoreless first period, the teams traded goals in the middle frame. Will Graber lifted Dartmouth with a power-play goal at 6:33, while Jacob Pritchard tied the score with 1:12 left on the clock. Kalk, who also chipped in with an assist on Graber’s opening goal, tallied the winner early in the third.
Arthur Brey made 15 stops in the second and 31 in the game, but fell to 5-25-1 to finish the season for St. Lawrence. The Saints had lost six straight games and eight in a nine-game span before Saturday’s 4-2 win to tie the series.Kal
