Manhattanville will stream a live videocast of Saturday’s NCAA D-III second-round game between the top-seeded Valiants and visiting New England College.
Michael La Placa will provide play-by-play, with color commentary by former Manhattanville goaltender Chad Killam. The broadcast is free, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, 30 minutes before game time, live from Playland Ice Casino, in Rye, N.Y.
The broadcast will be available at http://www.mville.edu/Streaming/live.html and requires the free Apple Quick Time player to view. The video is best viewed with a high-speed Internet connection.
The Valiants qualified for the NCAA’s Pool B bid after winning their first ECAC West championship, 3-1, at Utica on Sunday. Saturday is the first NCAA appearance for Manhattanville’s men’s hockey team, which started play in the ECAC West under the team’s only head coach, Keith Levinthal, in the 1999-2000 season.
