Mickey Gilchrist’s empty-net goal at 19:15 clinched a third consecutive national championship for Middlebury at the First Arena.
Just after the expiration of its second power play, Middlebury’s John Sales wristed a puck high to the far side past goalie Kyle Jones to give the Panthers their second goal at 7:15 of the second period.
