Denver defenseman Matt Carle, the 2006 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner, and Colorado College forward Brett Sterling repeated as First-Team selections on the RBK Division I All-American teams, announced Friday by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Boston College, which faces Wisconsin for the NCAA title Saturday, led all schools with three representatives on the East First Team, as well as one Second-Team selection. Wisconsin has three honorees of its own, including one First-Teamer.
Also repeating as All-Americans were First-Team defenseman Andy Greene of Miami and Second-Team defenseman Brian Yandle of New Hampshire, who were Second-Team choices last year.
Twelve of the 24 selections were seniors, with nine juniors and three sophomores. The honorees hail from 11 states and four Canadian provinces. The leading sources of All-Americans are Massachusetts and Minnesota, each with four honorees.
