Can you feel it? The 2006-2007 Division III season is just days away. We’ve been making some improvements behind the scene at USCHO in the offseason in order to bring you unprecedented coverage this season.
We’ve added two more writers to the fold: Matt Webb will be covering the NCHA and MCHA this season, and Paul Altmeyer will be working the ECAC Northeast beat. Returning are Scott Biggar (ECAC West), Russell Jaslow (SUNYAC), Tim Costello (ECAC East/NESCAC) and CJ Spang (MIAC). That’s six weekly conference columns.
With all the bases covered, there isn’t the need for a national column like the one yours truly has done for the past nine seasons. As you may have noticed, I’m covering the Atlantic Hockey Association this season. But I’m also going to be writing a Division III blog – the one you’re looking at right now. This will be a little different than a typical national column – a little more personal, a little more irreverent. Those of you that read my blog from the Frozen Four in Milwaukee will know what to expect.
So check back here often – I’ll be posting a couple of times a week with news and opinion. If you haven’t already done so, check out the Pre-season Poll that came out Monday, and look for our All-USCHO pre-season team to be announced in the next couple of days.
Let’s drop the puck!
