The white-clad Eagles are starting to feel their oats, peppering Harvard with 20 shots so far this period (to only nine by the Crimson).
The offense finally breaks through for the game-tying goal, as Ben Smith takes a cross-crease feed from Andrew Orpik to slip the puck past Carroll’s left toe. Not only was Orpik allowed to take a step beyond Carroll’s right post with the puck, but Smith had little more than a stick-tap to keep him off the feed. Atrocious defense by the Crimson, which has been an Acchiles’ heel for them all season long.
Tied at trips as we head to the third. BC: 36 shots; Harvard, 19.
