Defenseman Matt Bartkowski is the third Ohio State player to sign a pro contract this offseason with college eligibility remaining.
Bartkowski, a sophomore, signed with the Boston Bruins, which held his rights after a deadline-day trade with the Florida Panthers. He was a seventh-round pick in 2008.

Bartkowski joins forwards Hunter Bishop (Montreal) and Zac Dalpe (Carolina) as players leaving the Buckeyes in an offseason where there has been a coaching change.
Mark Osiecki was named the team’s new coach last week, replacing John Markell.
Bartkowski had six goals and 18 points in 39 games last season for the Buckeyes. He was a CCHA all-rookie team member as a freshman.
