The game that stands out to me this weekend is tonight’s non-conf Providence College at Syracuse tilt. Both teams could challenge for their conference titles and could be there in March when the NCAA’s are set. It should be a heck of a lot of fun.
Also, as an addendum to this week’s column, I wanted to post and update on the condition of assistant coach Kristen Cameron. You’ll remember that she suffered life threatening injuries this summer when she was the victim of a hit-and-run while riding her bike. According to Mercyhurst spokesman Erik Kaminski, Cameron is now in hospital in Toronto, and is “getting better”. Thoughts and prayers continue from this corner to Kristen and her family.
