Been meaning to blog for a little while now, but day job and then a nice long drive out to Minnesota have been delaying things a little while. That, and I know this is my last weekend with USCHO so my brain is trying to go on journalism vacation early.
In any case, I’m here at the Xcel Energy Center waiting for Scott Sandelin and a few UMD players to take the mics for their post-practice press conference. I’ll have more on that after it happens in the Frozen Four blog, so look out for that.
Here’s hoping that this Frozen Four is good to the WCHA teams. It’s a CCHA/WCHA battle in the first games and we’ll see what ends up happening for Saturday. It’ll either keep to the format or we’ll see two teams from the same conference battling it out. For the hometown Minnesota crowd (and my own league bias), I’m hoping we see North Dakota vs. Minnesota-Duluth for all the marbles. Whether we will or not is a different story, but we can always hope, right?
The fun begins shortly. Go WCHA!
