The San Jose Sharks have signed Northeastern freshman forward Brodie Reid to an entry-level contract.
”Brodie accomplished nearly everything an individual can achieve in his first season at the collegiate level,” San Jose GM Doug Wilson said in a statement. “We feel that he is more than ready to take the next step in his professional development and we are pleased that he has chosen to do that with the San Jose Sharks.”
Reid, who went undrafted, recently finished his freshman season with Northeastern where he was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. He posted 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 37 games, good for fourth on the team.
