USA Hockey announced Wednesday that defenseman Jack Johnson (Michigan) has been added to the 2011 U.S. Men’s National Team that will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Men’s Championship starting Friday in Kosice and Bratislava, Slovakia.
Johnson currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings and will be making his ninth Team USA apperance.
Most recently, Johnson was a member of the 2010 U.S. Olympic team that earned the silver medal in Vancouver. He has also competed for two U.S. men’s national teams (2007, 2009), two U.S. national junior teams (2006, 2007) and two U.S. national under-18 teams (2004, 2005).
