David Berard has been named an assistant coach at Connecticut, leaving Providence after a 14-year stint with the Friars.
“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of his caliber and experience to enhance our program,” Huskies head coach Bruce Marshall said in a statement. “He brings a wealth of knowledge in recruiting and coaching. We envision him bringing us further up the standings along with the improvements we made the past few years.”
Berard has also been an assistant coach at Lake Superior State and Colby College.
