Northeastern women’s coach Dave Flint has agreed to a contract extension to remain head coach through the 2015-16 season.
“I am excited to announce this contract extension for Dave,” Northeastern director of athletics Peter Roby said in a statement. “His program has continued to improve each year and competes at a national level. His leadership and commitment to our student-athletes is very much appreciated.”
Entering his fourth season as head coach, Flint also won a silver medal as an assistant coach for the U.S. women’s team at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. In 2008, he was appointed the goaltending coach and advisor for the U.S. women’s national program, where he evaluates and instructs goaltenders at all levels. Flint also served as an assistant coach to the U.S. Select Team that participated in the Four Nations Cup in 2009.
