According to the Denver Post, Denver forward Larkin Jacobson and goalie Juho Olkinuora have each been suspended four games apiece for separate violations of team rules.
The two sophomores will miss the Pioneers’ exhibition game against British Columbia on Oct. 6, as well as the regular-season opener Oct. 19 against Massachusetts-Lowell, Oct. 20 against visiting Air Force and Oct. 26 for the WCHA opener against Michigan Tech.
While serving their suspensions, both players will be allowed to practice with the team.
Jacobson was held without a point last season, while Olkinuora was 9-8-3 with a 2.18 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage and two shutouts.
