As the current 2016-17 season was set to get underway, Bowling Green lost one of its top returning scorers Brandon Hawkins.
The reasons for his departure were never revealed.
In 80 games with BGSU, Hawkins posted 29 goals and 29 assists for 58 points.
On Oct. 28, Hawkins tweeted that he’ll be playing next at Northeastern.
I’m excited to announce that I have committed to play hockey at @GoNUmhockey thank you everyone that has helped me along the way #GoHuskies
