Boston University’s Clayton Keller was named the national rookie of the year on Friday by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Keller got the Tim Taylor Award after scoring 21 goals and 45 points for the Terriers.
A first-round pick of the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes, Keller made his NHL debut last Monday after signing a pro contract.
Denver forward Henrik Borgstrom and Harvard defenseman Adam Fox were runners-up.
