No. 10 Wisconsin Eau Claire at Wisconsin Superior
Wis.-Eau Claire and Wis.-River Falls have been the tops of the WIAC for a bit, so it’s great to see wis.-Superior showing well so far this season. They need to tighten up on defense, but the offense has been clicking and this will be a good test for them. Wis.-Eau Claire is looking to push Wis.-River Falls and remain ranked. I expect the Blu Golds will win this one. Wis.-Eau Claire 4-2
St. Mary’s vs. No. 8 St. Thomas
It’ll be the first conference game for both teams. St. Thomas is chasing Gustavus Adolphus in both the nation and conference, and they’ll be looking for points in every game. St. Mary’s has had a strong start to the season and wants to upset the balance. I think it’ll be close, but even with it being a home-and-home series, I think St. Thomas should take both. St. Thomas 5-2, 4-2
Friday-Saturday, Nov 10-11
Northland vs. St. Scholastica
Northland has to find a way to pick up the offense, but they pulled out an overtime win over Adrian last week. They have the potential and need to find a way to focus it. St. Scholastica has not lost yet, and their defense is quite strong; it could be an interesting weekend. This is a home-and-home series, and I expect the home squad to win each game they host. St. Scholastica 3-1, Northland 4-2
Tuesday, Nov. 14
Castleton at No. 2 Norwich
Castleton has seen a lot of goals both on offense and defense. They definitely need to tighten up on the blue line because Norwich certainly knows how to score. I’ll take the Cadets. Norwich 5-3
No. 8 St. Thomas at No. 5 Wisconsin-River Falls
This should be the most exciting game of the week. It’ll be the Tommies’ third game in four days. Wis.-River Falls looks like they’re trying to find their footing after graduating some world-class talent. I expect them to continue to get better as the season progresses. I’ll take Wis.-River Falls at home here. Wis.-River Falls 5-3
