Letters of reprimand from the NCHC have been sent to both Denver head coach Jim Montgomery and St. Cloud State head coach Bob Motzko for their conduct during this past weekend’s series.
The reprimand stems from incidents that occurred during and following the game at Magness Arena in Denver on Saturday, Nov. 11, featuring the two teams.
Two separate press releases were sent out Tuesday afternoon.
Montgomery’s violations included using inappropriate language toward an opposing team’s player during Saturday’s game, as well as displaying a lack of conduct and sportsmanship on the ice at the conclusion of Saturday’s contest.
Motzko’s violations included inappropriate comments provided to the media following Friday’s game that were directed toward NCHC on-ice officials and staff, as well as displaying a lack of conduct and sportsmanship on the ice at the conclusion of Saturday’s contest.
Denver entered the weekend ranked No. 3 and swept then-No. 1 St. Cloud State in the two games.
