The new Bentley Arena will officially open its doors on Thursday, Feb. 15, to Bentley students, staff, and faculty.
One night later, the hockey team will play the first game in its new home against Army West Point.
“As we prepare to open this new building, I could not be more proud of the members of our community who worked so hard to make this vision into a reality,” Bentley president Gloria Larson said in a statement. “The new LEED-certified, environmentally-friendly arena will provide a state-of-the-art center for our Division I hockey team and a venue for concerts, career fairs, alumni events, prominent speakers and other events. This signature facility marks Bentley’s continued rise as a future-focused, nationally-recognized business university, showcasing our commitment to student life and the well-being of all of our stakeholders — students, athletes, faculty, staff, alumni and the Waltham community.
“We have and will continue to invest in the important strategic initiatives of this university that raise academic quality and provide the vibrant, campus-based student experience that has become a hallmark of a Bentley education.”
The Falcons’ last games in Watertown at Ryan Arena will be the weekend of Feb. 9-10 against Air Force.
