ECAC Hockey announced Monday that Cornell senior forward Brianna Veerman has been assessed a one-game suspension as the result of her actions in the Cornell-Quinnipiac game from Saturday, Jan. 6.
The league action was taken after review of an incident that occurred at the 16:58 mark of the first period where Veerman was assessed a major penalty for charging.
Based upon the league’s action, Veerman is not eligible to compete in Cornell’s next game on Tuesday, Jan. 9 when the Big Red travel to Syracuse.
