Atlantic Hockey has suspended Mercyhurst’s Steven Ipri and Robert Morris’ Jacob Coleman one game each.
Ipri was issued a major for cross-checking and a disqualification near the end of Saturday’s 8-5 loss to American International. The disqualification penalty carries an automatic one-game suspension, but after reviewing the play, Atlantic Hockey officials determined that the play, which came with under a minute to play, warranted an additional game suspension. Ipri will be unavailable for Mercyhurst when the Lakers play a home-and-home series with Canisius this weekend.
Coleman was whistled for an elbowing major and given a game misconduct in Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Air Force. After reviewing the game film, Atlantic Hockey decided that one game for supplemental discipline was sufficient. Coleman will be unable to play for Robert Morris when the Colonials host Sacred Heart on Friday, Feb. 1.
