Mercyhurst coach Rick Gotkin takes his Lakers on the road to No. 20 Arizona State for a pair of games this weekend. Gotkin joins hosts Jim Connelly and Ed Trefzger for a preview, as well as what’s involved helping 11 rookies adjust to the college game, whether Mercyhurst would look at a new league geographically situated around the Great Lakes, and to remember Mike Folga, former equipment manager who succumbed to cancer over the summer. Jim and Ed also spotlight some other contests around college hockey, including the only league contest, Maine at No. 7 Providence in Hockey East.

He is co-owner and president of broadcasting company Genesee Media, and was general manager of the former Rochester, N.Y., sports radio station 97.5 The Team.
