Concordia closed the first period with three goals and added two more for a 5-1 exhibition over the Huskies at the UConn Ice Arena.
D.J. Miller scored UConn’s goal, at 11:36 of the first period, before Edin Burazerovic, Sean Tilley and Ryan McKenzie gave the Stingers a 3-1 lead after one period.
Gerry Gomez scored in the third for a 4-1 lead and Tilley added an empty-net goal.
Artie Imbriano and Jason Carey combined for 20 saves for UConn. Christian Marois and Eric Hakka teamed for 21 saves for Concordia.
