Amanda Mathison scored two goals and Rachel Denner had three assists Saturday as St. Cloud State defeated Minnesota State-Mankato 6-1 at the National Hockey Center.
Mathison opened the scoring just over a minute into the game and closed it with three seconds remaining for the Huskies.
Brianna Munyon, Ricki-Lee Doyle, Abby Cooper and Bridget Davenport also scored for St. Cloud, which was 3-of-5 on the power play. Mankato was 0-of-4.
Amanda Osborn scored her second goal of the season in the second period for Mankato’s lone goal.
Laura Gieselman made 24 saves for St. Cloud; Katie Beaudey had 31 for Mankato.
