Senior Aaron Davis broke a 1-1 tie in the second period, and Lake Superior State beat Mercyhurst 3-2 in a non-conference game on Friday.

LSSU took a 3-1 lead on Jeremy Bachusz’s goal 11:17 into the third period. Mercyhurst’s T.J. Kemp cut the lead to one with 3:03 left, but a too-many-men-on-the-ice penalty late slimmed Mercyhurst’s chances for an equalizer.
