MINNEAPOLIS – Seth Ambroz scored at 19:34 of the third period to lift Minnesota to a 4-3 win and weekend sweep over Wisconsin at Mariucci Arena.
Ambroz also tallied in the second period for the Gophers.
Kyle Rau had a goal and an assist for top-ranked Minnesota, while Brady Skjei notched the other goal.
Minnesota goalie Adam Wilcox picked up the win with a 20-save outing.
For Wisconsin, Michael Mersch and Nic Kerdiles each registered a goal and an assist, while Frankie Simonelli’s goal at 4:23 of the first period gave the Badgers a brief lead before Rau scored 45 seconds later.
Joel Rumpel made 31 saves in goal for Wisconsin.
