SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Jeff Costello scored twice, and Steven Summerhays made 13 saves for his fourth shutout of the season as No. 15 Notre Dame beat Alabama-Huntsville 5-0 on Saturday.
Sam Herr, Vince Hinostroza and Bryan Rust also scored for the Fighting Irish (12-8-1).
It was the 10th collegiate shutout for Summerhays, a senior. He’s two behind Notre Dame career leaders David Brown and Jordan Pearce.
Carmine Guerriero made 38 saves for the Chargers (1-23).
