CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Tori Sullivan’s second goal of the game broke a third-period tie as No. 1 Boston College rallied past No. 4 Boston University on Wednesday.
Sullivan scored on a power play 7:24 into the third period to give the Eagles (18-0-1, 11-0 Hockey East) their first lead of the game.
Kate Leary and Haley Skarupa also scored for Boston College.
Eagles freshman goaltender Gabriella Switaj earned her first collegiate victory, rebounding from a dreadful first period in which she allowed goals on all three shots she faced. She stopped all 20 shots in the second and third periods.
Boston College played without starting goaltender Katie Burt, who is with the U.S. team at the Under-18 Women’s World Championship.
At 19 games, the Eagles have their longest unbeaten streak in program history.
Marie-Philip Poulin and Kayla Tutino scored 13 seconds apart in the first period for the Terriers (12-4-2, 8-3).
Sarah Lefort put Boston University ahead 3-1 in the final minute of the first period.
Victoria Hanson made 39 saves for the Terriers.
