PRINCETON, N.J. — Merrick Madsen made 38 saves to earn the shutout as Harvard defeated Princeton 3-0 at Hobey Baker Rink Saturday night.
Jimmy Vesey netted the game winner at 5:47 of the first period on a deflection from Desmond Bergin and Alexander Kerfoot.
Clay Anderson and Kerfoot added two empty-net goals in the final minute as Tigers goaltender Colton Phinney was pulled for the extra attacker.
Phinney made 39 saves for Princeton.
