DETROIT — Alex Kile scored the last of three Michigan second-period goals as the 10th-ranked Wolverines claimed their 17th Great Lakes Invitational title with a 4-2 victory over Michigan Tech on Wednesday.
Tony Calderone and Tyler Motte also scored in the middle period for Michigan (11-3-3), which rallied from a 2-0 deficit.
Sam Piazza scored into an empty net and Steve Racine made 27 saves for the Wolverines.
Jake Jackson and Brent Baltus scored first-period goals for the Huskies (11-7-2).
Michigan Tech’s Jamie Phillips stopped 18 shots.
