While host New Hampshire skated to a 4-4 tie with visiting Brown, the result might have felt more like a loss for the Wildcats.
Trailing 4-0 with less than 17 minutes remaining, Brown battled back on goals from Tommy Marchin, Tim Lappin, Tyler Bird and Brent Beaudoin to tie the game. When neither team tallied in the extra frame, each team earned the tie.
Both teams mustered plenty of shots, and UNH’s Danny Tirone’s 35 saves helped push him to the top spot all time for saves by a New Hampshire goaltender.
