The River Hawks scored four even-strength goals –- two in both the second and third periods -– to skate out of Oceanside Ice Arena with a nonconference victory. Tyler Wall made 24 saves to preserve the shutout for Lowell, which received its last two goals from Kenny Hausinger. After a relatively even first period, the visitors held a 16-5 shot advantage in the second and took a 2-0 lead on goals by Mattias Goransson and Chris Schutz. In the third, Hausinger fired two of his five shots on goal past Massachusetts native Joey Daccord, who recorded 31 saves in the Sun Devils net.
