ERIE, Pa. — Six different goal scorers powered the Mercyhurst Lakers past the Holy Cross Crusaders on Friday night in a wild 6-5 victory that saw lead changes and a dramatic, late comeback attempt from the Crusaders.
Standout Lakers defenseman Lester Lancaster managed a goal and two assists as did prominent forward Jack Riley as Mercyhurst overcame an early 2-0 deficit to take a 6-3 lead.
Peter Crinella scored twice for the Crusaders, who fell back to second place in the Atlantic Hockey standings following a win by Canisius that put them alone in first place.
