NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Dante Fabbro and Gabriel Chabot scored the game’s first two goals in less than a three-minute span during the second period, providing all the offense the Terriers would ultimately need in a 3-1 win at Lawler Rink. Chabot’s goal 17:09 into the second and made a winner out of Jake Oettinger, who made 12 of his 28 saves in the final frame.
Merrimack’s Simon Loof halved his team’s deficit with his first collegiate goal 2:22 into the third period, but Logan Cockerill put the game out of reach at 10:51. Craig Pantano made 19 saves for the host Warriors.
BU won all three of its meetings with Merrimack this season and is 8-2-2 in its last 12 games overall since Jan. 12.
