BOSTON – Drew Melanson and David Farrance scored goals while Jake Oettinger made 33 saves en route to Boston University’s fifth shutout of the season. Oettinger made 10 saves in the second period and 12 more in the third to preserve the victory at Agganis Arena, which also ensures the Terriers the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Hockey East playoffs.
Melanson scored the game-winning goal on the power play just 5:37 into the first period, while Farrance doubled the final score at 17:05 of the second. BU held a 35-33 shot advantage in the game. Stefanos Lekkas made 33 stops for Vermont, including 15 in the first period.
