And for the second straight night, the Falcons needed a late goal to reach overtime. This time, Jamie Steinert scored at the 17:21 mark of the third period for a 2-2 tie.<\/p>\n<p>The teams exchanged power-play goals early. Jeff Bernard scored for River Falls midway through the first period, then Dan Odegard equalized for Marian just under a minute into the second period.<\/p>\n<p>Tommy Kotsopoulos gave Marian a 3-2 lead on a shorthanded breakway just over eight minutes into the third period.<\/p>\n<p>Marian goalkeeper Terry Dunbar had 42 saves, including 19 in the third period.
