Senior forward Tim Yakimowsky scored three goals and added an assist, and sophomore goalie Raj Bhangoo stopped all 31 shots he faced as Wentworth defeated Assumption 5-0 Saturday.<\/p>\n
Yakimowsky scored the eventual game-winner — his second in as many games — with 1:47 remaining in the first period, on a feed from junior defenseman Zach Wotherspoon.<\/p>\n
He then scored both of the Leopards’ second-period goals, with the first set up by junior forward Jamie Weiss at 9:26. One minute and 39 seconds later, he completed the hat trick, set up by freshman Shawn Metheral and Wotherspoon.<\/p>\n
Sophomore forward Alex Marinkovich scored goals number four and five for the Leopards, both in the third period.<\/p>\n
Junior goalie Dan Lupi made 37 saves for the Ice Dogs (4-2-1, 1-2-1 ECAC Northeast), who were outshot 42-31.<\/p>\n
