Maybe it wasn’t as complicated as we all made it out to be. It’s as simple as that.<\/p>\n
The committee laid it out, just as we always do when we try to analyze where each team will go.<\/p>\n
Then after seeing that there were no intraconference matchups, they made one switch – Cornell and Air Force.<\/p>\n
The only reasoning I can see behind that is that they wanted to avoid a potential second round matchup between two teams that just played in a championship game.<\/p>\n
I guess they couldn’t really do that with the West Regional bracket where Minnesota-Duluth and North Dakota could meet in the next round.<\/p>\n
My question would be why only this one change of the bracket.<\/p>\n
Otherwise, it’s simple math and laying it out as we do every week.<\/p>\n
