Last week was a rarity. Dave and I didn’t pick a single game differently. I expect that to change this week with Dave heading into desperation mode.

Jim’s pick: I’ve been giving BC the benefit of the doubt for a while now. And they keep letting me down. This game is time to change.

UVM 3, BC 2

Dave’s pick: Neither team has been playing well lately. I have to think the Eagles will turn things around.

BC 3, UVM 2

Jim’s pick: BU may have lost the Beanpot but heading back to Hockey East play should prove enough to get them back on the winning road.

BU 5, UNH 2

Dave’s pick: Here are another two teams that are struggling, but that’s been true for UNH for a lot longer. BU gets its power play straightened out.

BU 4, UNH 1

Jim’s pick: This series will be a weekend split, no doubt. But I’m picking Providence both nights for fear of picking this split wrong.

PC 4, ND 2

Dave’s pick: I, too, think this series will be a split, and if I were picking a sweep, I’d go with the red-hot Friars. But I’ve got to make up some ground on Jim, so I’ll take the Irish and home ice.

ND 2, PC 1

Jim’s pick: I like the way Merrimack is playing of late. And, well, Maine is on the road.

MC 4, UM 2

Dave’s pick: I’m not desperate enough to pick Maine on the road.

MC 3, UM 2

Jim’s pick: I loved the game Northeastern played at the Beanpot on Monday. Thus they get my vote of confidence.

NU 3, UConn 2

Dave’s pick: I’ll happily take UConn and home ice here.

UConn 3, NU 2

Jim’s pick: Yes, I have a fear of getting a reverse split incorrect. But I’m picking it here.

BC 4, UVM 2

Dave’s pick: I should probably go with Vermont just to maximize my differences with Jim, but I’m going all-in on BC righting the ship this week.

BC 3, UVM 2

Jim’s pick: The way Merrimack is playing of late allows me to pick the sweep here.

MC 3, Maine 2

Dave’s pick: I have to agree. Maine finishes the regular season winless on the road.

MC 4, Maine 1

Jim’s pick: Am I really picking Notre Dame to get swept? Yes. And this, my friends, is how you lose your lead in picks.

PC 3, ND 2

Dave’s pick: I actually think Jim’s pick of a sweep makes sense, but I’m forced to go with a sweep in the opposite direction.

ND 3, PC 2

Jim’s pick: I honestly believe that UConn is better than this team is playing of late. But on the road isn’t the time to pick UConn in this battle of Huskies.

NU 4, UConn 3

Dave’s pick: I suppose I should go with a UConn sweep just to be a contrarian, but I’ll stick with Northeastern at home.

NU 4, UConn 3

Jim’s pick: UMass has twice been a difficult opponent for the River Hawks, but I can’t pick against them right now.

UML 5, UMass 2

Dave’s pick: Make it a baker’s dozen of consecutive losses for the Minutemen.

UML 4, UMass 1

Jim’s pick: Even on the road, I think BU is a hair better.

BU 3, UNH 2

Dave’s pick: UNH has only a single win in its last nine games, so if BU is only a hair better, it’s Don King’s hair.

BU 4, UNH 2

Jim’s pick: With Lowell on the road and not knowing what Boston College team will show up this weekend when making this pick, I have a little bit of blind faith in the River Hawks.

UML 4, BC 3

Dave’s pick: I do like the way Lowell is playing right now a lot more than BC, but I’ll go with an Eagles turnaround and home ice.
