{"id":22978,"date":"2000-02-29T18:34:01","date_gmt":"2000-03-01T00:34:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2000\/02\/29\/gustavus-head-coach-retires\/"},"modified":"2010-08-17T19:53:57","modified_gmt":"2010-08-18T00:53:57","slug":"gustavus-head-coach-retires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2000\/02\/29\/gustavus-head-coach-retires\/","title":{"rendered":"Gustavus Head Coach Retires"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Larry Moore, men&#8217;s hockey coach at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., for the past three seasons, announced Monday that he is retiring from coaching to enter private business in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p>Moore, a 1976 graduate of Gustavus, compiled a record of 33-39-5 in his three seasons directing the program. Prior to serving as head coach, Moore was an assistant to former head coach Don Roberts for 16 seasons.  His retirement is effective immediately. <\/p>\n<p>Athletic director Al Molde has announced that a search for Moore&#8217;s successor will begin in the next few days, with the hope of having a new coach in place by early April. <\/p>\n<p>Moore is the third Minnesota head coach to step down in less than a month, following Minnesota State&#8217;s Don Brose and Minnesota-Duluth&#8217;s Mike Sertich.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Larry Moore, men&#8217;s hockey coach at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., for the past three seasons, announced Monday that he is retiring from coaching to enter private business in Minneapolis.
