Larry Moore, men’s hockey coach at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., for the past three seasons, announced Monday that he is retiring from coaching to enter private business in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n
Moore, a 1976 graduate of Gustavus, compiled a record of 33-39-5 in his three seasons directing the program. Prior to serving as head coach, Moore was an assistant to former head coach Don Roberts for 16 seasons. His retirement is effective immediately. <\/p>\n
Athletic director Al Molde has announced that a search for Moore’s successor will begin in the next few days, with the hope of having a new coach in place by early April. <\/p>\n
Moore is the third Minnesota head coach to step down in less than a month, following Minnesota State’s Don Brose and Minnesota-Duluth’s Mike Sertich.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
