“With the excitement that always surrounds the University of New Hampshire hockey program we knew that the Northeast regional in Manchester would be a tough ticket,” said Ron Grahame, associate director of athletics at Denver and chair of the Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee. “We are thrilled with the sellout and feel that this continues to show that the popularity of college hockey is at an all-time high.”

Four teams will compete at the Northeast regional with two games on Saturday, March 27 (12 noon/3:30 p.m.), and the regional final on Sunday, March 28 (4 p.m.). The winner of the Northeast region will advance to play in the 2004 Frozen Four at the FleetCenter in Boston on April 8 and 10.

“The sellout at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester is testament to the fabulous support of hockey fans in the state of New Hampshire and in particular UNH fans,” said New Hampshire AD Marty Scarano. “We are very appreciative of the support from the fans for this important event and assure them a great show of college hockey. Our intent has been to make this a destination that the NCAA wants to return to time and again.”
