The 14-0 Valiants took 11 of 15 first-place votes after a narrow win over Brockport and a pair of 4-2 victories against Potsdam.<\/p>\nAt No. 2, moving up one spot, and garnering two first-place votes is Wisconsin-Superior. The 12-0-5 Yellowjackets had wins over Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Wisconsin-Eau Claire last weekend. Getting single first-place nods were No. 3 St. Norbert and No. 4 St. John’s, each moving up one place in the poll after each notching a pair of league wins.<\/p>\n
Dropping from No. 1 to No. 5 is Middlebury. The Panthers dropped a pair on the road in Maine, losing 4-2 to Bowdoin on Friday, and 2-0 to Colby on Saturday. Moving up one place to No. 6 is Fredonia. The Blue Devils downed RIT and Utica during the week.<\/p>\n
Moving down one position to No. 7 is Norwich, after a tie with Babson and a win over UMass-Boston. At No. 8, moving up three places, is Trinity, after wins against New England College and St. Anselm. <\/p>\n
Wisconsin-River Falls moved up one position to No. 9, despite a narrow overtime win against Lake Forest and a loss to St. Norbert. Dropping one to No. 10 is Oswego, after a weekend split with RIT.<\/p>\n
Moving up two places to No. 11 is Bowdoin, even though the Polar Bears’ win over Middlebury was coupled with a loss to Williams. Dropping four places to No. 12 is RIT; the Tigers lost to Fredonia and split with Oswego.<\/p>\n
At No. 13 and returning to the poll is Colby. The Mules blanked Middlebury and beat Williams. Hobart, which had wins over Cortland and Geneseo, stays at No. 14, and St. Thomas, with a pair of wins over St. Olaf, stays at No. 15.<\/p>\n
Other teams receiving votes were Plattsburgh, Curry, which dropped from the poll for the first time this season, Bethel, Utica, and Babson.<\/p>\n
