For the third straight week, there’s a new No. 1 in the USCHO.com Division III men’s poll<\/a>. But after a weekend of upsets, five different teams received first-place votes.<\/p>\n

Moving up from third to No. 1 is Manhattanville, still undefeated at 9-0-2 and the recipient of nine first-place nods. Rising three places to No. 2 is 8-0-3 Oswego; the Lakers had one first-place vote.<\/p>\n

At No. 3 is St. Norbert; last week’s unanimous No. 1 got one first-place vote. Moving up two spots to No. 4 is Wisconsin-River Falls; the Falcons received three first-place votes.<\/p>\n

Getting the remaining No. 1 vote is No. 5 Wisconsin-Superior.<\/p>\n

Dropping two places to No. 6 is preseason favorite Middlebury while up one spot to No. 7 is Neumann. After a pair of weekend losses, Norwich plummeted from No. 2 to No. 8 while Wisconsin-Stout moved up three spots to No. 9.<\/p>\n

Hobart stood pat at No. 10 followed by 9-0-0 Mass.-Dartmouth at No. 11, up two places from last week.<\/p>\n

After a loss and a tie to Manhattanville at home, Utica dropped three spots to No. 12. Bowdoin dropped two places to No. 13 after a pair of weekend ties, while Amherst, entering the poll this week, and Geneseo round out the poll tied at No. 14.<\/p>\n

Also receiving votes were Hamilton, Bethel, Plattsburgh, Colby, Skidmore, St. Scholastica, St. John’s, Babson, Curry, Milwaukee School of Engineering, and St. Thomas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
