Leading the change was Miami, which moved up three spots to become the new No. 1.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>Related:<\/b> <a href='\/rankings\/?data=uscho1m&#038;season=20092010&#038;week=1013'>The full rankings<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The RedHawks won a pair of tight games against St. Cloud State on the opening weekend of non-exhibition play, while preseason No. 1 Denver split a pair at home against No. 11 Vermont.<\/p>\n<p>The Pioneers fell to third, one spot behind Boston University.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the top 10: North Dakota, Michigan, Cornell, Notre Dame, Yale, Minnesota and Princeton.<\/p>\n<p>Four teams &#8212; Minnesota-Duluth, New Hampshire, Ohio State and Air Force &#8212; lost their spot in the poll.<\/p>\n<p>They were replaced by No. 15 Bemidji State, No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha, No. 17 Alaska and No. 18 Quinnipiac.<\/p>\n<p>The Beavers swept a home series against then-No. 19 Air Force. The Mavericks claimed the IceBreaker championship with victories over Army and No. 14 Massachusetts-Lowell.<\/p>\n<p>Alaska claimed a pair of victories at the Kendall Hockey Classic in Anchorage, beating No. 5 Michigan and Mercyhurst.
