Friday, Nov. 24

Saint John’s at Marian

The Johnnies have dropped two of three, but look to get momentum rolling in their direction again. They’ve outscored the opposition 27-16 this season, and eight players have at least five points. Brady Heppner leads the way with three goals and six assists. The Sabres are hot, having won their last three, and will need to lean on their defense in this one. Hunter Vorva is 4-2 with a 2.34 goals-against average. He’s allowed just 14 goals. Saint John’s 4-3

St. Thomas at Wisconsin-Superior

The Tommies have been off for 17 days and have won once in their last four games. Three times during the stretch they’ve managed only one goal. Brett Gravelle and Johnny Panvica have to fuel the offense. They come in with six points apiece. Despite only scoring 12 goals, they’ve given up just 15. The Yellow Jackets have won two of three. Defense has been an issue with 24 goals allowed. Cole Skinner and Kyle Miller have split time in goal, with Skinner winning twice. St. Thomas 4-1

No. 12 Milwaukee School of Engineering at No. 8 Wisconsin-Stevens Point

It’s a showdown of nationally ranked teams. The Raiders have won two in a row and Zach Simpson leads the offense with four goals and two assists. Goalie Zach Woodman has been rock solid, allowing eight goals and making 134 saves. The Pointers are stinging from back-to-back losses and are looking for their first win of the year over a ranked opponent. A balanced offense, led by Tanner Karty (seven goals, six assists), is the key to success. Wis.-Stevens Point 5-4

Friday-Saturday, Nov. 24-25

Lake Forest at Saint Mary’s

Winners of four consecutive games, the Foresters are on a roll going into the two-game series. They’ve scored 17 goals during the streak. George Gerasimou has three goals and five assists. Lake Forest has given up just 13 goals. The Cardinals are desperate for a win after losing four in a row. Getting the offense going is key. Jay Heinle and Jack Stang have combined for six of the team’s 16 goals. Saint Mary’s 4-3, Lake Forest 5-2

Manhattanville at No. 1 St. Norbert

The Green Knights skate into this two-game series unbeaten through six games. Tanner Froese has been instrumental to the success, racking up 10 points, and T.J. Black has allowed only eight goals, fashioning a 1.32 GAA. The Valiants have won three of four and have only played once on the road so far. Matt Lippa is having a stellar season, scoring four goals and dishing out five assists. St. Norbert 4-3, 5-4

Saturday, Nov. 25

Saint John’s at Concordia

The Johnnies have never lost to the Falcons in four games and have scored five goals in each of their three wins against them. The other game in the series ended in a tie. This will be the first meeting in five years between the two teams. Concordia is on a three-game win streak and is led by Josh Adkins, who has punched in four goals. He has three assists as well. Nick Malvin is 4-1 and owns a 2.71 GAA. Concordia 4-3

St. Scholastica at Wis.-Superior

This is the lone game of the weekend for the Saints, who are looking to snap a three-game losing streak. They have struggled to score during the tough stretch, putting up only two goals. They have scored 14 goals in all, including three by Seth Chumley, but have allowed just 13 through the efforts of three different goalies (Nick Trenciansky, Forbes Ploszai, and Zaine Steeves). Wis.-Superior is striving to jump-start its offense as well. Ian Ecklund is the team’s top scorer with five goals. St. Scholastica 4-2

Trine at No. 2 Adrian

The Thunder gets its third shot at the Bulldogs after losing the previous two meetings. The first-year program is still searching for its first win, and playing Adrian on the road is a tall order. Winless through eight games, one bright spot has been Lucas Bombardier, who has scored three goals to go along with three assists. The Bulldogs scored 14 goals in their first two games against Trine. Adrian has punched in 37 goals, with Kyle Brothers scoring six of them. Eight others have at least five points. Adrian 7-2
