Boston University has been tabbed as the top team in the women’s Hockey East preseason coaches poll.<\/p>\n
The Terriers received six first-place votes.<\/p>\n
Boston College, with 51 points, is right behind the Terriers in the poll, garnering two first-place votes. Northeastern’s third place prediction is the highest in team history, while fourth-place Providence is led by two-time WHEA coach of the year Bob Deraney.<\/p>\n
Connecticut sits fifth, followed by Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.<\/p>\n

The league’s 10th anniversary season will open when Maine hosts Sacred Heart for a two-game nonconference series this Friday, Sept. 23. The conference schedule will commence on Friday, Oct. 14 as UNH hosts Boston College.<\/p>\n\n
