{"id":38574,"date":"2011-10-06T20:05:23","date_gmt":"2011-10-07T01:05:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=38574"},"modified":"2011-10-06T20:05:23","modified_gmt":"2011-10-07T01:05:23","slug":"stockdale-named-first-coach-of-franklin-pierce-womens-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2011\/10\/06\/stockdale-named-first-coach-of-franklin-pierce-womens-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Stockdale named first coach of Franklin Pierce women&#8217;s team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Franklin Pierce announced on Thursday that David Stockdale has been named the head coach of the newly-formed women&#8217;s program that will begin play next season. <\/p>\n<p>Stockdale has been an assistant and head coach in the college ranks over the past 10 years. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a tremendous opportunity and one that I&#8217;m eager to begin right away,&#8221; Stockdale said in a statement. &#8220;The opportunity to build a program from the ground up and recruit student-athletes that want to help in the challenge is very exciting.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Stockdale has had two stints as an assistant at Maine and has also been an assistant at Southern Maine and Chatham. He is a former head coach at Castleton State and most recently served as the head girls coach at Seton Catholic Central School in Plattsburgh, N.Y. <\/p>\n<p>Stockdale also has extensive instructional experience as he has served as an evaluator and counselor at various hockey camps, including serving as an evaluator and camp coach for USA Hockey since 2006.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Franklin Pierce announced on Thursday that David Stockdale has been named the head coach of the newly-formed women&#8217;s program that will begin play next season.
