Paul&#8217;s teams are always competitive and reach the high academic standards of the college. I&#8217;m very happy to have Paul here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am very thankful to Mr. Regan and Fr. Boroughs for their continued support and confidence in our hockey program,&#8221; added Pearl. &#8220;We are recruiting and graduating great student-athletes and I am happy that I can be part of that for at least another five years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pearl will begin his 18th year at Holy Cross this season and with an overall record of 263-257-63, he is the program&#8217;s all-time winningest coach. A two-time Atlantic Hockey coach of the year selection (2004, 2011), Pearl led the Crusaders to their first two NCAA tournament appearances in 2004 and 2006, while he coached the team to its first ever NCAA tournament win with a 4-3 overtime victory over Minnesota in Grand Forks, N.D., on March 24, 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Holy Cross finished in third place in Atlantic Hockey with a 20-15-4 record.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Holy Cross and head coach Paul Pearl have agreed to a new five-year contract that will keep Pearl behind the Crusaders&#8217;
