{"id":47978,"date":"2013-01-07T12:25:28","date_gmt":"2013-01-07T18:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=47978"},"modified":"2013-01-07T12:25:28","modified_gmt":"2013-01-07T18:25:28","slug":"mens-d-i-poll-has-minnesota-garnering-38-of-50-first-place-votes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2013\/01\/07\/mens-d-i-poll-has-minnesota-garnering-38-of-50-first-place-votes\/","title":{"rendered":"Men&#8217;s D-I poll has Minnesota garnering 38 of 50 first-place votes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five teams garnered first-place votes in this week&#8217;s USCHO.com Division I Men&#8217;s Poll, but with 38 of 50 first-place votes, Minnesota stays atop the rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Notre Dame jumps one spot to No. 2 and received eight first-place votes, trading places with Boston College, which recorded one first-place nod this week.<\/p>\n<p>New Hampshire earned a first-place vote and remains fourth, followed by No. 5 Quinnipiac, which tallied two first-place votes.<\/p>\n<p>Miami and North Dakota stay No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, while Boston University is up one to No. 8, Denver jumps a pair to No. 9 and Western Michigan holds firm in the tenth slot.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota State rises three to sit 11th, Dartmouth tumbles four to No. 12, Nebraska-Omaha jumps three to No. 13, as is Yale at No. 14, followed by Cornell falling three to No. 15.<\/p>\n<p>At No. 16, Union is down three, Niagara is up one to No. 17 and St. Cloud State falls three to No. 18.<\/p>\n<p>Previously-unranked Colgate (No. 19) and Massachusetts-Lowell (No. 20) enter the poll this week to round out the top 20.<\/p>\n<p>The USCHO.com Division I Men&#8217;s Poll consists of 50 voters, including 28 coaches from the Division I conferences and 22 beat writers and sports professionals from across the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five teams garnered first-place votes in this week&#8217;s USCHO.com Division I Men&#8217;s Poll, but with 38 of 50 first-place votes, Minnesota stays atop the rankings.
